a summer dreamin’ date with yourself

On a recent monthly Business Wisdom call with my Essential Sisters, we envisioned, cleared, and made some plans on how we’re going to bring a beautiful summer to life, set our summer work hours, and loosen the reigns a little.

I’m a believer that less is more.

As part of that conversation, we did a practice together, inspired by the dear Kate Northrup.

Enjoy the practice and prompts below. Prompts 1-6 below are from Kate, plus some more that I created myself, along with a sweet practice to drop into the space with your prompts.

Set aside 20 minutes.

Firstly, tune into less ‘planning’, and more the energy, and how you want to feel.

Make a cold drink with 1 drop Peppermint. Grab your notebook, and treat yourself to this time and space.

Prompts:

  1. The flavour of my summer is… in 1-2 words (mine: fun & relaxed).

  2. Remove the unnecessary. What’s that for you?

  3. Put the “big rocks” into your mason jar.

  4. Fill in with the “little rocks”.

  5. List your summer desires. More dreamy micro moments, less to-do list

  6. Leave yourself more space than you think. Summer jammed schedules are no bueno.

  7. Create your “summer office hours”? When are you off-off and unplugged. When are you working: days/hours. How are your hours reduced.

  8. When is your phone away? (for me: 4-8pm, phone away).

All love, all ways,

Christine
